Members evening

We have a fun evening planned for 28th June 2024 – 6:30pm-9:00pm: St Mark’s Church Hall.

If you are not a member but would like to come along to meet us and see what we get up to, we would love to see you. Please send a message via our contact page for more information.

Timetable for the evening

6:30-7:30pm—Bring a dish to share & Quiz

7:30-8:15pm—Exhibition preparation

Sandra/Lynne/Joan will be on hand to offer any issues relating to preparation of work for the exhibition:

• Finishing off work
• Presentation/Framing/Hanging work
• Considering how your work will fit with the theme ‘Follow the thread’
  8:15-9:15pm—Mini workshops: Sample hand quilting (Sue Brown) & Stitch & Paper (Sarah Clark): A chance to explore artists who work with stitch and paper and then have a go yourself using collage, old photos, postcards, etc. Please next page for inspiration and ideas before the evening.
  Do you have any old postcards/magazines/photos which you could donate for the evening?
  Please contact Sarah and / or bring your own to the next meeting. Thanks.
  In addition to the above, we are also looking for our members to show on tables throughout the evening:
  · Collections or any other items stitch/textile related which might be of interest to members.
  · Showcase your recent work or small items you have for sale—past or present (but not
  related to the exhibition!).
  · Stitch/textile books you would recommend—please bring on the evening so members can look through (do ensure your name is labelled clearly on the item so it can be returned at the end of the evening).
