2025/2026

Kingston Stitchers is an active and enthusiastic group which meet for talks, workshops and outings throughout the year. Membership ranges from “new to embroidery” to “very experienced” embroidery and textile artists and teachers.

As a member of Kingston Stitchers, you can enjoy the following benefits:

Friday Night Talks/Meetings

Meetings are held ten times a year on the fourth Friday of the month (7.15 – 9.30pm), in Surbiton. The evening usually includes an illustrated talk by an invited speaker, generally a professional embroiderer or textile artist.

Members can also find a bargain browsing the sales table where we sell vintage and second hand textiles, threads, books, and all things related to stitch. Have a cup of tea or coffee whilst you socialise and enjoy the talk. (These talks are free to members, booking or tickets not required. Non-members are very welcome and can book ahead via Eventbrite at £7 + £1.30 booking fee per visit; Kingston University Fashion students attend free )

Saturday Workshops

Bookings for workshops are first released to the members via an email indicating bookings are open approximately one month prior to the workshop. Workshop places are then offered on a first come basis. Advance bookings and multiple bookings are not permitted to allow fair access to all members. Places not filled within the membership will then be offered to non-members via our Eventbrite page.
Non-members please follow us on Eventbrite to be notified when talks and workshop places become available.
